Pre-Registration:
$15; entry form must be received prior to September 6.
Late-Registration:
$20; register in the main lobby of Fitger's - September 6 (Noon - 6 p.m.) and September 7 (7 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.)

Grandma's Minnesota Mile Duluth Racecourse
The Duluth race is run on a point-to-point course starting near Fitger's, running through the heart of downtown Duluth on Superior Street and finishing near the Holiday Center. A detailed course map will be available in the near future.
Timing: Chip Timing will be used for the Grandma's Minnesota Mile Duluth and the Grandma's Minnesota Mile St. Paul.
Race Divisions
The Grandma's Minnesota Mile Duluth will feature five divisions:

This division is for Elite Runners and those with the following projected finishing times will qualify for this division: For Men - 4:40 or faster; For Women - 5:40 or faster
The Duluth Mile - Those with the following projected finishing times will qualify for this division: For Men - between 4:41 and 5:45; For Women - between 5:41 and 6:45
The All-City Mile - Those with the following projected finishing times will be placed in this division: For Men - 5:46 or longer; For Women - 6:46 or longer
The Courage Center Mile -
This division is for Wheelchair participants from ages 8 and up. No electric wheelchairs or handcylcles are allowed.
The Nike Kids Mile - This division is for children ages 8 to 14.
All divisions include two races - one for men and one for women. Those ages 8 to 14 will automatically be entered into the Youth Mile.
Prize Money
Prize money will be awarded to the top 5 men and the top 5 women in the Minnesota Mile (Elite Runner) Division. The following prize money breakdown is the same for both men and women:
1st Place: $1,250.00
2nd Place: $750.00
3rd Place: $500.00
4th Place: $250.00
5th Place: $100.00
Total: $2,850.00 total to the top 5 men and to the top 5 women

Important: Absolutely no early starters are allowed on the racecourse. Individuals in violation of this rule will be disqualified and asked to leave the course. No automobiles, bicycles, baby joggers, roller skis, inline skates, handcycles, hand-cranked wheelchairs, pets or unofficial participants are allowed on the racecourse.
USATF rules (Click here and read rule #144.3b) prohibit the use of headphones and similar devices on the racecourse. This rule will be enforced during Grandma's Marathon, the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, the William A. Irvin 5K, Fitger's 5K, the Park Point 5-Miler and the Grandma's Minnesota Mile. Runners should not bring these devices with them to the race. Those carrying/wearing these devices will be given the option to surrender their music device to a designated race official prior to entering the starting line gates. Surrendered devices will be properly packaged and mailed back to their rightful owners within two weeks after the race. Participants that choose not to surrender their device will be disqualified from the race and their finishing time will not appear in the official race results.
